1. Clinical Information Disclaimer & Obstetric/Medical Emergency Protocol
All educational articles, service descriptions, and pre-appointment preparation guides on https://drteborasenyai.co.za are authored to support patient understanding and do not constitute an online medical diagnosis, treatment prescription, or doctor-patient relationship prior to an in-person clinical examination.
Emergency Notice: Neither our website booking form, email (info@drteborasenyai.co.za), nor WhatsApp line (+27 68 828 8806) is monitored for acute medical or obstetric emergencies. If you experience heavy vaginal bleeding, severe abdominal pain, eclampsia symptoms, reduced foetal movement, or active labour, proceed immediately to the Clinix Victoria Private Hospital 24-Hour Emergency Unit (53 Victoria Road, Mahikeng) or call 10177, 112, Netcare 911 (082 911), or ER24 (084 124).
2. Medical Aid Acceptance, Zero Co-Payment Policy & Private Tariffs
Dr Tebo Rasenyai Inc (BHF Practice No. PR 1352652) accepts all registered South African medical aid schemes at contracted scheme tariffs with no out-of-pocket co-payments for in-room consultations. Patients must present a valid medical aid membership card and South African ID or passport at reception prior to consultation.
While the Practice submits claims electronically and assists with hospital and Prescribed Minimum Benefit (PMB) pre-authorisations under the Medical Schemes Act (Act 131 of 1998), the patient (or main member) remains ultimately responsible for verifying that their membership is active and that any network GP referral requirements specific to their plan option have been met. Private self-funding patients settle accounts on the day of consultation via debit/credit card or EFT and receive a fully itemised ICD-10 statement.
3. Appointment Scheduling, Rescheduling & Cancellation Policy (CPA Section 17)
To ensure timely access for expectant mothers and gynaecological patients across the North West Province, consultation slots are reserved specifically for you. If you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment, please notify our reception desk via telephone (018 397 7300) or WhatsApp (+27 68 828 8806) at least 24 hours in advance.
In accordance with Section 17 of the Consumer Protection Act (Act 68 of 2008), no cancellation penalty is ever applied where a patient is unable to attend due to sudden illness, hospitalisation, pregnancy complication, or bereavement.
4. Informed Consent for Procedures & Surgery (National Health Act Sections 6–8)
In compliance with Sections 6 to 8 of the National Health Act (Act 61 of 2003) and HPCSA Booklet 4 (Seeking Patients' Informed Consent: The Ethical Considerations), no diagnostic procedure, intrauterine device insertion, colposcopy, caesarean delivery, or laparoscopic/hysteroscopic operation is performed without explaining the clinical nature, benefits, material risks, alternatives, and financial implications in plain language.
